This time of year sometimes we lost sight of what matters the most.
It doesn't matter how many gift are for you under the tree what matters most is something that you can't buy in stores.
Family memories are precious and often forgotten by the glitter of expensive gifts
As parents we understand and now this but sometimes we too often forget the meaning.
I know that right now a lot of family can''t afford the Christmas that they want for their family, I'll admit that I am one of those people.
But instead of focusing on what I can't get for my family I'm focused on the gifts that I can and those ones are the ones that mean the most.
Those few gifts I know that when my boys open them their eyes will light up with excitement.
Doesn't matter how much I paid for them or where I got it from what matters to me is the memory of how even something from the 99 cent store can make a child's Christmas awesome.
Somewhere we as a human race lost site of what the true meaning of Christmas is but I have faith that we'll remember it.
It doesn't matter how much, what matters is what you do have.
Family, Friends, and those memories are more priceless than the gifts that you can buy at the store.
So while everyone is excited to open gifts I'm excited to see the pure joy on their faces. Because that and the warm memories I get spending time with my family is all that I could ever ask for.
If their was anything that I could ask Santa for Christmas it would be to give those less fortunate than I am to have a wonderful Christmas.
So as you think about Christmas this year please keep in mind that it doesn't matter what you don't have or can't afford what matters is what you do have. The gifts that you can't buy in stores are often the one's that are the most precious.
I best thing that my son told me was that he wanted to got through his toys so he can donate them to kids that don't have the awesome things that he had. And that he would always have a awesome Christmas because he would be with his mommy, daddy, and baby brother. That is the best gift that I could have ever asked for
ReplyDeleteI believe memories are the most important thing at Christmas time. The memories last forever, but the gadgets, clothing, and other presents only last for a year or so. I plan on making awesome memories with my family this year and every year.
