Thank you for all the happy memories that you've given me for the holidays.
I never knew when or if we were having a hard time financially because you always hid it from me.
Christmas time for us was always the happiest time, you always gave us everything that we wanted.
Never showing us that in this time of happiness we didn't have the money to buy so stuff.
For always making my holidays happy and for never showing us that things weren't ok
Hiding your fears and tears from us to make sure that we have almost everything we could ever want
I never stopped to thank you for so much that you have done for us.
For showing us how to be strong even when it seems that the weight of the world is on our shoulders.
As a child we don't realize how much you do for us, but now that were adults and have families of our own
I see now everything that you've done and continue to do for us. Your amazing and don't forget it because you are.
Thank you for the strength and for the courage to stay strong when times are hard, and for always reminding me that better times are not far behind.
This is to all the parents that during this time or any other when times were hard financially or emotionally no matter what your fought back your tears and hid your worries.
To always have a smile upon your face and gave me something better than what you can get in stores
You gave me the best memories that will last longer than any toy that the store could have made.
Thank you for showing me how to stay strong during hard times.

A.R.K
A Random act of Kindness
We forget sometimes what the holidays are all about
It isn't about the flashy gifts or the amount to money that someone spent on that one gift
This is the season for random acts of kindness, for the person that would ignore that homeless person on the street maybe they give them some food or a nice blanket.
We all heard the story about how 78 cars paid for the others order at Starbucks.
I'm not saying give your last cent to someone if it's going to hurt your family.
What I'm asking is that maybe you go through your clothes and children's toys and the ones that are in pretty good condition and donate them to your local Salvation Army.
Their is no such thing as giving to little or too much.
I know that because of the recession it hurt a lot of families and that's why I am asking everyone to pass this on and give a little.
Go through your clothes and your children's toys and whatever you think that is acceptable donate them.
But only if you can. It's never too late to spread the holiday cheer and helping someone in need out

It Doesn't Matter What You Don't Have It Matters What You Do
This time of year sometimes we lost sight of what matters the most.
It doesn't matter how many gift are for you under the tree what matters most is something that you can't buy in stores.
Family memories are precious and often forgotten by the glitter of expensive gifts
As parents we understand and now this but sometimes we too often forget the meaning.
I know that right now a lot of family can''t afford the Christmas that they want for their family, I'll admit that I am one of those people.
But instead of focusing on what I can't get for my family I'm focused on the gifts that I can and those ones are the ones that mean the most.
Those few gifts I know that when my boys open them their eyes will light up with excitement.
Doesn't matter how much I paid for them or where I got it from what matters to me is the memory of how even something from the 99 cent store can make a child's Christmas awesome.
Somewhere we as a human race lost site of what the true meaning of Christmas is but I have faith that we'll remember it.
It doesn't matter how much, what matters is what you do have.
Family, Friends, and those memories are more priceless than the gifts that you can buy at the store.
So while everyone is excited to open gifts I'm excited to see the pure joy on their faces. Because that and the warm memories I get spending time with my family is all that I could ever ask for.
If their was anything that I could ask Santa for Christmas it would be to give those less fortunate than I am to have a wonderful Christmas.
So as you think about Christmas this year please keep in mind that it doesn't matter what you don't have or can't afford what matters is what you do have. The gifts that you can't buy in stores are often the one's that are the most precious.

I Wish
I wish that I could give you even a little bit of what you deserve.
But I'm sorry that I can't, I really wish that I could though.
I can't tell you how much it pains me to not be able to afford something small for you.
Heartbreaking that even the food that you like I can't buy for you because we don't have enough.
While you sleep tight not knowing what's going on, I lie awake crying because I don't want you too see.
I've tried everything that I could have and time after time all I get is sorry but I can''t help you.
Can't even think about Christmas because I don't want to see the disappointment on your face.
My beautiful boys i wish that I could give you the best, but I'm sorry that I can't right now.
I would do anything for you guys just to give you a good Christmas, please know that I am trying.
It hurts me that I can''t even give you that but I promise you that I'm spending every moment trying.
Looking for a job so that way I can afford to buy you gifts, I know that once I find one I would be around much
But I promise that every second that I am away from you I'm think about you guys and wishing that I was with you.
I know that every moment that I am away I'm making some money to make things better for us.
So if anyone needs help with anything please let me know because I'll would be willing to help you, because you would be helping me in making these hard times for my family better. Thank you

Wouldn't It Be Nice
Wouldn't it be nice if all our problems went away?
If everyone could be nice all year around.
It would be but that just wouldn't be where we live now would it.
We've tried everything that we could think of.
Asking for help, going to other places that we wouldn't normally go to.
How much more can we take? Being pushed and pulled in every which way
What is it that you want us to do? I just don't understand why are you doing this.
We are working as hard as we can to get out of the hole that were in.
Losing hope because all we hear is sorry we can't help or that we make too much.
How do you expect us to survive when we don't even make enough?
This economy is failing and it's only getting harder to find help.
Looking in all directions and taking almost every option but they all seem to turn us down.
What do you need from us? Why put us through all of this pain and before the holidays I don't understand.
Please anyone help us?

Crying For You
Crying for you but you can't even hear it
Hate that you just up and left us, but I understand why you did it
Holidays just aren't the same, things just seem out of place now that your gone
Didn't even want to fight it you just rolled over and accepted defeat
Did you ever think that I still needed a mother, did you ever think that your grandson wouldn't miss you
Fighting not to waste anymore tears on you cause nothing I do can replace the feelings that I have left in your place.
Turning you back on all of us never answering the phone, so many missed calls
Say one thing but then again you turn around and do or say something completely different
How did you come to hate your family so much?
If this is what love does then I don't ever want to feel either.
Never asked for these feeling, they were just thrown upon me
I already had one mother leave and now you maybe I should give up on everything that I believe in
Their is no hope in what you promised me, no more birthdays or holidays
Hate that you just up and left us, but I understand why you did it

Dear Mr. President
Dear Mr. President
You promise so many things during the election, say anything to get elected.
But when you do where is what you promised, letting down so many people.
Lied to just get what you what, what about the dying people out their?
So many children are failing in school because the system is flawed
How can you justify that, that's why the economy is in the state it's in
Why is their no more jobs for people but yet your still building houses?
Walk a mile in someone else's shoes, live their life before you pity them
I love America, but why are you not listening to the people who suffer
Bailing out car dealerships, what about helping out people on social security, underpaid teachers, doctors, nurses, people who desperately need medical insurance.
You say you love America but why don't you help America out instead of helping car dealerships where no one can afford to buy one.
Why don't you take a look around, instead of looking for a pet, why don't you look at how the economy is failing and students are leaving school without knowing anything or failing school cause they don't understand the work
How teachers are underpaid and they can't find the right material to teach students.
Teaching information that you should use for the outside world, overwhelming students with homework cause they don't want to do it during class and adding homework on the weekends, and you wonder why students are failing their classes
And now you want to cut our soldiers pay, putting their life on the line for free?
Why do you give rapist and robbers a reduced sentence just so they can get out sooner and do it again,
So worried about money, why don't you look into your Congresses pockets since they are so full, willing to give up money for car dealerships FOR WHAT A DISCOUNT,
I'D LIKE TO SEE YOUR CONGRESSES REACTION TO A PAY CUT

What You Call Different We Call Them Amazing
They are all different ages, races, and backgrounds but what connects them together is that they have either a mental or physical disability. In today's society people often discourage them because of what they have, casting them as outsiders and often going to extremes to make sure that they are noticed. Hopefully parents are teaching their kids that because someone looks different they shouldn't be treated differently but sometimes that's not always the case.
Parents of these remarkable kids are put to the test almost every time they take their child out and into the public. Seeing the starring, the faces that people make, hearing what they say under their breath, even how they act towards them. The stupidity of today's society and how they can't see how amazing these people are. They didn't ask for this and no one would. They live everyday with what they are given, making their life as normal as possible. What many people call different I and many others call them amazing! The amazing challenges that they overcome everyday is just as amazing as Lance Armstrong overcoming his cancer and winning the Tour De France.
But why is it that people feel the need to go out of their way to outcast them? Just because they may not look like you or me doesn't give anyone the right to treat them any differently. It's a shame that the children deal with their disorder the best way they can and do an amazing job at it, but every now and again you get people that remind them that they are different. For those who continue to feel that you have to point out the fact that these kids or adults are special I ask you what would you do if you were in their shoes? Spend a day in their life, see how people look at their kids because they are different. I bet you that after that day they wouldn't treat them how they were before.
To the amazing parents of these awesome kids and to those that continue to feel the same way that I do continue to stay strong. Don't let the ignorance of others discourage you. Stay strong because you are amazing. I apologize for those who continue to break your heart, take a stand against them and remind them that your child is not different they are amazing. If they can't accept that then they are not worth your tears.
